La voz del sol

Set in 1965, the story follows Maruja (Carmen Machi) and Manolo (Karra Elejalde), a Spanish couple exiled in Paris after the Civil War. They work as domestic staff for the family of the American ambassador, the Jolises. Their adopted son, Alan Jolis (Matteo Artuñedo), has been raised by them due to his parents’ absence. When Maruja discovers that this may be her last summer, she decides to return to Spain with Alan and Manolo to confront her past and ensure the young man grows up to be a good man. This journey becomes both a physical and emotional path that will challenge the couple’s buried secrets.
