Octavio and Adela’s 90 years of life unfold across 8 episodes, each one a moment, 8 sinuous continuous shots set on 8 decisive dates in Spain’s history between 1931 and 2021. Octavio and Adela are born in two neighboring villages in a mountain range near Madrid at dawn on the very day the Second Republic is proclaimed. From that first day on, without their knowing it, their destinies run connected, intertwined in the shape of an “8”, two loops crossing at the center, while Spain unfolds in the background, the one each of them is destined to live through.
