Palmeras en la nieve

It is 1953. Kilian leaves the mountains of Huesca to set out with his brother on a journey to Fernando Poo, a former Spanish colony in Equatorial Guinea. There, their father awaits them at the Sampaka estate, where he cultivates some of the finest cocoa in the world. In the colony, they will discover that social life is more enjoyable than in the rigid, grey Spain they left behind; they will experience the contrasts between settlers and natives, and come to understand the meaning of friendship, passion, love, and hate.
